Ever wonder how actors make fights look real without anyone getting hurt?

In this dynamic, hands-on workshop, students ages 12–17 will learn the fundamentals of unarmed stage combat, including pushes, slaps, hair pulls, falls, and reactions — all taught with a strong emphasis on safety, trust, and storytelling.

This is more than learning moves. Students will explore cooperation, discipline, and “acting the fight” while creating a fully choreographed sequence in a safe and supportive environment. All experience levels welcome.

Bay Street Theater

Led by Bethany Dellapolla, Director of Education at Bay Street Theater, an accomplished NYC-based actress, director, choreographer, and certified intimacy director. With over 50 productions directed and choreographed, and students who have gone on to Broadway, regional theater, TV, and top collegiate programs, Bethany brings professional expertise and a passion for youth training into every classroom.
